I have followed my artistic spirit throughout my life exploring everything from pottery and photography to woodblock printing and painting. For 20+ years I painted primarily representational pieces in pastel or acrylics. With the beauty of Cape Cod as my constant inspiration, I produced numerous landscapes with a focus on Wellfleet and the Lower Cape. However, over the past few years, I have experimented in both subject matter and technique. I am currently enamored with the world of abstraction and mixed media in which I incorporate acrylics with handprinted or commercial papers and/or recycled objects. It is my own way of "painting" with paper and texture. This new path is exciting for me. I have developed a great appreciation for the beauty of abstract work as it encourages both viewer and painter to bring a part of themselves into each piece.
